We know that love and grief are different sides of the same coin. We grieve so intensely because we love so deeply. We love our people and we love our land, both of which have been violently desecrated.
Our collective hearts cry bitter tears with such agony that it’s hard to breathe, hard to function. We feel each other's pain on a soul level such that we are now unified in a way we haven’t experienced in a long time. We are praying for each other all over the world. We fight for each other, and support those who are fighting for us. We are giving everything and anything that is needed. We are flooding the world with light through our unity, our prayers, our generosity and our love.
We are faced with evil once again and we are called upon to fight both physically and spiritually.
We are commanded in the Torah, to eradicate evil and not forget that throughout history there have always been people who want to eliminate us. It is us, in partnership with God who must fight against these barbaric forces that look to destroy.
At the same time that we mourn and feel the pain of our people so deeply and rawly we must also remind ourselves that God cries along with us, that God suffers along with us, that we are never alone. God is listening to our prayers and storing our fiery, sacred tears. No tear is wasted, no cry to God is unheard.
As a woman of faith, I know God is good and loving, and that when we cry out to God and come together as a unified people God will help us find a way out of this darkness.
Our job now is to be the people connecting heaven and earth, to be in partnership with God to eradicate evil and to flood the world with goodness and light.
Please God speedily bring healing to us all and bring an end to all the suffering.
